Staff Handbook

Orientation/Induction

Prior to the commencement of employment the successful applicant will be allocated to work along side the Team Leader of the playroom, enabling the new staff member to be introduced to the families, develop relationships with the children and staff and become familiar with routines.
Management meets with the new staff member on a weekly basis for the first month of their employment, to ensure a smooth transition into the position. This enables the new staff member and management to discuss their work performance, progress and expectations.

Casual Staff

Casual staff, are required to complete a minimum of one volunteer day before being listed on the casual reliever list. This is to ensure that the casual person wishes to be employed with One World and it gives us an insight into the casual’s performance. Should management feel that the casual is not ready for employment they are offered a voluntary day per week to further develop their skills.
