Supporting Children With Autism
Online Workshop
Thursday February 19th 2015, 7:30pm AEDT
It may seem that more and more young children are now being diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Whether mild or high-functioning, children affected often find it difficult to communicate, both linguistically and socially, and have difficulty with imaginative play and flexibility. Children may also go through times of acute stress and experience ‘melt-downs’.
This session will outline the different kinds of Autism Spectrum Disorders, how to recognise symptoms and more importantly how to support both children and their families.
